Gary Clark
London amateur champion in the late 70s. Had the pleasure to play Spassky in 1979 when he gave a simul to the British junior team. He later said it was "hard bread" and also that Willie Watson played like a "drunken machine gunner". He lost 4 games and I managed to draw. FM since 2021 although qualified in 1978 I think.
