Which is the best lichess piece set

there really isnt a "best" piece and board set, but i like the Merida pieces and blue3 :D
I prefer the ones that are pixeled or the normal ones... I recomend that if you are good at chess you should probably chose what you like!
I myself prefer 'maestro' and blue the most, but 'maestro' really goes good with almost anything, especially 'wood4' (it then almost looks like the board @ Agadmator uses).
But before I used 'maestro', I used 'merida' (and I still think it's one of the best piece sets on lichess), of course with the standard 'blue', but also with 'blue3', 'blue-marble' 'green', 'green-plastic', 'metal' and 'newspaper'.
From time to time I use 'alpha' (this piece set is similar to the pieces shown in books) and I think, it goes extraordinarily well together with 'olive'.
I almost never use the "wood-pieces": 'dubrovny' (inspired by my favorite wooden chess pieces, 'Zagreb' and 'Dubrovnik'), though it may go good together with 'wood4' very well.
Similarly I almost never use 'pirouetti', although I think it would be perfectly fine with 'metal', 'olive', 'grey', 'wood3' and 'blue-marble'.
'cburnett' is the standard selected option and I used it with 'blue', 'wood3', 'purple', 'olive', 'marble', 'green', and 'wood'. Sometimes I use 'horsey' with 'horsey', because of Horsey.
But as #21 said, there really is no best set, it's entirely dependant on your subjective taste - I myself like 'blue' and 'maestro' the most!
