Farewell

@iniciativatotal

Amen to that. Goes to prove the point. There is a learning process in cheating as well. This attempt is too silly and was easily caught.

My only hope is that they learn chess and get better rather than learn how to cheat better.

My appeal to pepellou is to be a better person, confess and move on.

That translates (on google) as:

Maybe I don't know how Pepellou plays blitz or rapid, because I only met him in zh, but for many players (including me), the game comes from mood. I dated this GM that Pepellou played with. Yes, he plays well, but everyone can make a mistake, after which, you can lose. Pepellou plays very well, although the score is not in my favor, but I still think that he played fairly. I had a case, on another account (to which I have access) when I won on bers, I won against Zhigalko and many of his friends. After Zhigalko lost to me, he looked at my opponents in the tournament and began to suspect me of cheating and applied for me, but my account is alive. Many players have very high game strength, but for many it develops in different variants of chess. For example, I have blitz, rapid, KOTH, and zh. And I could also play the same tournament and with the same results as Pepellou, so what? I would have been shut down too. I still tend to think that Pepellou is an honest player and does not change the lichess.org rule.
I completely believe that the person here is cheating. though not clearly visible to all , there are some other factors which clearly states his cheating. well done mods and i am extremely impressed but such great moderation.

The common people ( me too ) on lichess must realize that cheating and its detection doesnt work as we all know. there are some minute factors and brain game involved.

keep this work up mods!

i can explain some factors i found if you dm me.
I just had a look at the closed chess.com pepellou account. Seemed it was active between around 2013 and 2015. It seems strange they would allow someone onto their staff who has had an account in the past closed for cheating, even if that was in 2015, but he is a developer on Chessable which was PlayMagnus and they took it over.

The essence is that pretty much all online cheat detection is done by statistics. "I don't believe they can play that well so they probably used assistance". You could call it "circumstantial evidence".

I'd quite like to take a bunch of these players and gather them to play either OTB or hybrid, mixed with a few lower titled players and see how they all get on.

As we know, there are probably 2 types of cheat: those who, without assistance, would be totally hopeless, and those who would hold their own in the contest but with it, even a couple of key situations per game, are genuine contenders for winning.

Just a small correction to the last post since I saw this repeated now twice - those games were zerked, so they are not actually 7+5 but 3,5+0

Oh wow, thank you for the correction. Well, even at 7+5, it was really impressive. 3,5+0 looks unbelievable - maybe I should compare with some Magnus blitz then ?
@hicetnunc

not only that, it is 3.5 versus 7+5 which is hilarious. Have you guys noticed how your heart beats when you berserk such a time control. I don't know about you, but my heart would be in my mouth and I would be playing at least one move in absolute panic

Every 12 moves, your opponent gets an extra minute!!
Oh, and I see (#91) that this player has already been banned from chess.com in the past...

Well, that's a lot.
