About me

I am a player from Romania offering chess lessons for both beginners and intermediate players who find this sport interesting and want to improve their knowledge when it comes to the ins and outs of this game.

Playing experience

I have been a chess player for over 9 years now who has participated in numerous World and European championships. My biggest achievements include 3 times the European vice-champion (rapid, blitz, and problem-solving), 3rd place in World School Chess Championship, 2nd place in the International Sports Olympiad, as well as multiple times the national champion and vice-champion.

Teaching experience

I have been a chess coach for around five years. Many of my students have won numerous prizes in national tournaments and chess has helped them develop discipline, critical thinking, and attentiveness. I find working with others incredibly rewarding, especially when I see them growing their chess knowledge under my eyes.

Best skills

I will evaluate you and plan the lesson according to your needs. I will answer any questions whenever you are facing difficulties. I strive to make our classes entertaining by adopting an easy-going attitude. My goal here is not to necessarily burden you with the overwhelming complexities of the game but to rather make you fall in love with it and stimulate your inquisitiveness, while also encouraging you to willingly discover and learn more.

Teaching methodology

All my lessons are carefully prepared in advance and I provide extra material for individual work as well. During the first lessons, by analyzing your games, I will spot your strengths and weaknesses which we will be focusing on together, whether those issues appear in the opening, middlegame, or endgame. I base my classes on communication and positive interaction. I want my students to be active and attentive, as I will ask questions throughout the lesson to make sure the information has been absorbed.
