Exploring how Lichess' players spend their playing time, Part 2 of 2

I love statistics breakdowns like these
so in January 2023 (31 days) rockyecan spent more than half the time playing on lichess?

I hope he played some simuls...
datascience orgy without any underlying actual research question. So it is possible to make some graphs on the Lichess database - WOW
@BongoOve Wait this actually answers questions? And these questions werer reasearched by the data that was given. Quite good.
well correlation not implying causation, it is still correlated, what is not known here is the causal direction, if there is a causal relationship, or a hidden common cause. But correlation of some strength means further investigation hypotheses. correlation does not dismiss causation. But it could be that more skilled players enjoy more playing chess? or have more time to put in their daily budget to it.. The unspoken question would need time involved, to differentiate such hypothesis. A horizontal slice (or merged time information) would not be able to establish or discern hypotheses would it?

Did I understand well. Speed play has some momentum to it.. that might explain more sustained paces and duration? The frenzy hypothesis. The urgency instinct has kick in, and the adrenaline has to run its course, but then another exposure to time stress, and then more adrenaline to run its course? We should have poeple monitor their cortisol level at end of day. How long do fast time control players live?

You would like Kramnik's ones.
It seems odd to reach conclusions without taking the time to come up with a hypothesis for the spikes in the ultrabullet data.
It's hard to determine if stronger players play more, as many users have multiple accounts. Especially titled players.
