dont add 15 extra seconds, this wont help, as sometimes reconnection lasts minutes for weird reasons. Here it was my opp who lost on time and lost points therefore. This is not good. Abort such games please and dont remove points from anyone.
Usually updates last 4-5 seconds, but there was a technical issue with the last one and things went wrong for ~40s. Shit happens.
Yeah, I kinda got screwed during this update too -- I got the "lichess is down" screen, and when it came back my clock had expired. Would it be possible to give 10-15 minutes notice ahead of time before the updates? I'd probably just not start a game if I knew one were coming.
I got hit by this one too - 10-15 minutes notice would be a good idea, or even a little text box as a constant reminder just in case people have just arrived and missed any warnings
