Also, turning off the engine (via slider) didn't shut it off. My CPU temperature and Task Manager graph were high until I closed the tab.
What are your analysis settings (in the hamburger menu) and what is your platform & browser?
I'm experiencing something similar on Chrome right now... we.tl/t-rGxsS7bpCK

@AlessandroTronca
Thanks for the video! I have not been able to reproduce this yet so it really, really helps to actually see it happen. I guess it's one of those things that happens all the time for some and rarely for others.
It's clearly happening a lot for too many. We are working on it.

I don't know about prior days. I somehow t h o u g h t it said zero other days. Saw it several times, but perhaps I only assumed it said zero because it was all the way to the left. I do seem to recall that even them the slider went up to 256 MB and the middle was 64 MB, so that would tend to indicate I likely just assumed it was zero at the left, but it may not have said that.
Today, the engine loaded fine. However, when i looked at the slider in the hamburger (isn't a hamburger the same as a slider? I'd like mine with onions... but I digress...) it is all the way to the left again, today. I didn't set it there; I think it was last set to be at the middle, 64 MB. But I find it is all the way to the left, at what now, at least, says 16 MB. And, as I said, the Engine loaded.
Thanks for giving me a heads up in the ?chat box? or whatever it is called. That generated a red mark in the Bell symbol. But I don't understand why I don't get a notice that someone replied in this thread, and the only way I can find to see all the threads I may have started or commented on in this forum is to search for my name in the forum. Perhaps I am missing something.

Firefox did update since I last set the slider, so that might have something to do with it going back to the very left. Also CCleaner updated in a major way, and even though I didn't actually r u n it, somehow between CCleaner updating and Firefox updating, all my tabs from my last session disappeared. So perhaps a cookie setting regarding the slider also reset??

The way it's supposed to work is when you post a comment or reply to a topic, you are automatically subscribed to it. Then you should receive timeline notifications when it's updated. See notifications about your 2 posts to this thread below:

It happened again just now. I managed to copy the "console":
Lichess is open source! lichess.org/source lichess.min.js:37:22050
An AudioContext was prevented from starting automatically. It must be created or resumed after a user gesture on the page. lichess.min.js:35:8931
error { target: XMLHttpRequest, isTrusted: true, lengthComputable: false, loaded: 0, total: 0, srcElement: XMLHttpRequest, eventPhase: 0, bubbles: false, cancelable: false, returnValue: true, ... }
analysisBoard.min.js:1:30920
The resource at “lichess1.org/assets/_GOiw58/images/board/svg/brown.svg” preloaded with link preload was not used within a few seconds. Make sure all attributes of the preload tag are set correctly. black
I didn't copy it very effectively; l will take a screen shot and send it if you prefer.
