Personally , I feel the Scotch is a simple and solid opening free from the reaches of the ever popular Italian and Ruy Lopez openings... I prefer more complicated and trappy openings but nevertheless , the Scotch is a good option for OTB chess

It is true that the Scotch will never reach the level of the italian or Spanish but i feel like the Scotch is actually a lot underrated in the complication part. Many people dont understand how Scotch theory and the middlegames arising from it can be really complicated with opposite sides castle.....

Why do you think Kohli or Shah Rukh Khan makes ad??? Did they run out of money??? I think that Subway is sponsoring Vishy or Vishy was feeling a bit idle and bored so he wanted to do something new and decided to make ad..... probably we will see Debaryo Basu making ads after few years because according to someone (you know who) he will become GM and we will be then also "luddu" players dreaming of becoming a GM ........
