Can I still become NM/IM if I start at 13?

Hello friends, I am still a complete n00b at this game, but with all the big brain people becoming GM at 13,14 and 15, with lower ranks being reached even younger, do I still have the opportunity to become a NM/IM?. School is a breeze for me a I am always top at my class, and I have many hours of free time to practice chess(4-6 hours that I usually waste). Is there still enough time? Or am I simply too late?

Edit: spelling
i would reccomend playing classical
i want from 1000 to 1820 in 10 months by playing a lot of classical
thank you for this. I play way too much blitz, and I am starting to think that this is the reason I am losing
As long as you get a good education in another topic which earns you a living, in case things dont work out as expected, go ahead, become world chess champion!
Yeah I agree. I've gone from 1450 to 1950 in a year. This site is great for chess improvement if you put in the work and know what to work on. Do lots of puzzles. Play lots of games and analyse them. Also you should check out a youtube channel called ChessNetwork that does analysis of chess games and has a series called Beginner to ChessMaster which should take you to 1400/1500 and maybe/hopefully higher. You sound smart so apply urself and it'll be worth it in the end.

There is absolutely no reason why you can't.
