Introduction to my beloved Sicilian Defense

The Sicilian Defense is a complex opening which is a popular and complex defense against 1.e4 from white . I recommend intermediate players (1500 ) to play this opening . It starts with c5 .
There are many responses/sidelines against the Sicilian Defense -

Sicilian Open / Closed , Sicilian Alapin , Sicilian Wing Gambit , Sicilian Smith - Morra Gambit , Sicilian Menargirini etc.

The Open Sicilian is most common . It is 1.e4 , c5 2. Nf3
You can either play e6 or d6 and then take on d4 if you get a chance to trade your flank pawn for the opponent's center pawn .
